Performance Built NP231 Transfer Case Sale
The NP231 transfer case was introduced in 1988 by New Process Gear for use in Chevy, Dodge, GMC and Jeep vehicles. The New Process 231 is the most popular chain driven transfer case to date.
The NP231 transfer case features a front driver's side output as well as a center line rear output. The NP231 transfer case comes with two ranges; a 2.72 low and a high range in direct drive. New Process used a mechanical speedometer gear from 1988 to 1991. In 1992 the speedometer was switched to a three wire vehicle speed sensor also known as VSS. Not only is the NP231 transfer case a great direct replacement, it is also used in many conversions.
Here at Smart Parts we specialize in taking a good transfer case and making it even better. Our state of the art upgrades and our cutting edge build process allow us to build a NP231 that exceeds the standards set forth by manufacturers.
